天龙八部虚竹的结局是什么
对于虚竹真正的结局，网上说法众多，纷纷不一。按《天龙八部》中的剧情推演，为救大哥萧峰，虚竹与段誉等江湖豪杰共同赶往大辽，在雁门关下萧峰为了救国也为了救天下的老百姓选择了自毁，故事最后虚竹看淡了世俗带着李清露去天山缥缈峰灵鹫宫过着桃源般的隐居生活。
但是有的网友推断说，金庸在最新修订版中，为虚竹安排了一项任务。让虚竹成为降龙十八掌的传递者。虚竹成为了能让丐帮传承下去的根本。换句话说，射雕英雄传中的丐帮，在武功方面的传承都仰仗虚竹为他们传递的降龙十八掌。可以说，虚竹对丐帮的重要性不亚于他们的祖师爷。因为没有虚竹武功方面的传承，有可能丐帮就在往后的发展中被淘汰了。金庸先生之后就再也没有对虚竹进行过写作。
通过历史资料，可以发现。在《临安县志》和《天目山祖山至》中，就有虚竹的事迹记载。在这两本书中，虚竹并没有带着李清露隐居灵鹫宫，而是东渡去了日本。东渡到日本虚竹，主要专注于弘扬佛教文化。
之所以这么说，也是因为史书上曾经记载虚竹身边共有四个女仆，被称为梅兰竹菊。并且虚竹还有另外一个名字叫寄竹，而且他在日本又拜了一位师父，叫做觉心。
在日本当代，人们所吹奏的古典乐曲中，都有虚竹的作品。那些精通古典乐理的人，也一直将虚竹的作品奉为经典。
于是也有了这样的结局，虚竹既没有去灵鹫宫，也没有去西夏，而是去了日本。
