儒林外史中王冕的人物形象介绍

　　《儒林外史》是一部现实主义巨著，书中人物都有一定的代表性。通过表现这些人物，将社会中的形形色色人们的言行反映出来。吴敬梓是一个思想独特的作家，他能够加将自己的独特思想蕴含在平静的人物描写中，读者通过阅读能够加深对社会中人物的认识。
　　这本书的第一回是一个楔子，所谓借名流隐括全文，王冕虽然与后面文章中的人物没有关系，但并不是没有联系。王冕的言行举止表达了作者所崇尚的一些观点。
　　一开始就描写王冕的家境贫穷，七岁丧父，十岁给人放牛，这在当时可能并不罕见，值得注意的是他有一个好的心态。在古代等级观念非常严重，所谓士农工商，当时人们认为读书人是很光彩的，虽说有句话叫百无一用是书生，那也没说读书人身份低下，说的是读书人有满腹才学，却没有地方施展，或者是读书人太多了，造成了巨大的人力资源浪费。这么多人想去读书，和今天人们都想找稳定的工作是一样的，读了书，可能生活困顿些，却有了登上仕途的可能，这是十分体面的。在这里王冕却不是这么说的，他说：在学堂里坐著，心里也闷；不如往他家放牛，倒快活些。假如我要读书，依旧可以带几本去读。这里面王冕完全不像其他人那样认为放牛是低下的活计，读书才是正道，而是将放牛看成一件普通的事，想读书也可以读的，这就是一个与众不同的地方。
　　在平常，人们有审美的眼光，也知道兴趣是最好的老师，却很少会在这方面下功夫。原因也很简单，例如范进一生想考一个好功名，这样一来，那些绘画、音乐之类的自然成了细枝末节，不肯下功夫了，这是其一；第二，读书人考到功名前都很穷，基本上不能满足温饱，这些东西自然更不放在心上了。王冕和这样的人不同。他有一个好的心态，不轻视读书，也不过分重视，于是看到雨后荷花，就能够开始画。同时他能够聚钱，不大手大脚地花，能把它们用到关键的地方。好的开端是成功的一半，正是这些原因他才成为了一个著名的画家。
　　后来，王冕有了名气，也不去放牛了，在家画画。这时有个县令偶然买了他的画，被危老先生看中了。危老先生是当地的著名乡绅，买了二千两银子的房子，曾经被皇上亲自送出城外，携著手走了十几步。这样一个乡绅是十分体面的，平时就是地方长官，也会十分敬重他。这在古代是一种理所当然的事，在古代乡绅不仅仅只是有钱就行的，需要有一定的地位，很多博物馆中都有牌匾，写着儒学正堂什么的，这在古代是一种荣耀，乡绅在古代往往有这样读书人的牌匾。王冕不管这些，他四处躲着来拜访他的县老爷。翟买办对他说老爷将帖请人，谁敢不去，他也不问。这样的行为与世上常有的言行不符，体现了王冕不同寻常的一面。最后王冕跑去济南了，县令也找不到他。这些在古代也是一种高尚的节操，像伯夷叔齐不食周栗那样，这是一种类似于道家隐的品格。
　　本回中还有一个秦老。秦老是一个老好人。虽然务农，却是个有意思的人。他既和王冕这样的世外之人玩得很好，说明他品行不坏，也能和买办这样的小吏玩得很好，说明他比王冕更加善于交际。我觉得这样的人更能适应社会，作者显然不这样想。古代人认为：穷则独善其身，达则兼济天下。这一点在这里可以分成两段讲。前一段在这里表现得很明显，他不愿意与危老爷、县令这样的人交往，显示出他独特的个性。县令来拜访王冕时，令他打定主意的是：老师前日口气，甚是敬他；老师敬他十分，我就该敬他一百分。况且屈尊敬贤，将来志书上少不得称赞一篇；这是万古千年不朽的勾当，有甚么做不得？这个县令并不是真心想去见王冕，而是认为这样符合规定，又能够被人记住。当时这种求名的思想很可能是主流，所以秦老才会听说王冕没有接见而见怪。王冕估计也看出来了，他又不愿与官吏为伍，所以他避而不见。现在这样显然是不行的，但在当时，这种行为被看做相当清高的品行。后半段达则兼济天下在这里表现得不明显，后来王者之师的统帅朱元璋来找他做官，他也不去，隐到会稽去了。一般读书人都不是这样的，学而优则仕，读书人往往喜欢做官，王冕不是没有能力，而是不愿去。这既是因为王冕母亲临终前的要求，也有王冕自己的思想。
　　王冕之所以能放在第一回，是因为他不但有才，而且品性很好。王冕身上有一种超凡脱俗的气质。这一回开篇说人生富贵功名，是身外之物；但世人一见了功名，便舍著性命去求他。王冕却不是这样，他看得很透，像他母亲所说的那样不去做官，而是继续当平民。在谈论科举制时，王冕也有不同的见地。古人以孔孟之道为范本，在汉朝大一统后的数千年里，基本上只有阐述、论证、解释这些观点的，很少出现跳出来批驳的人。因为在古代，这些是正统思想，凡是怀疑的人都会有惩戒发生。王冕对礼部议定取士之法：三年一科，用五经、四书、八股文的看法是这个法却定的不好。将来读书人既有此一条荣身之路，把那文行出处都看得轻了。这在当时是很叛逆的说法，很多人甚至会觉得很惊讶，而王冕能够站出来说，显示了他独到、独立的见解。
　　王冕是一个嵌崎磊落的人，他有卓越的才华，而且格调高卓，磊落洒脱。他自幼就很有才，自习能力超强，而且十分洒脱，不拘于时，不慕名利。这与后面出来的人物形成鲜明的对比。例如后来出来了一个周进，也是有才的，可是一辈子都想中个科举，最后看到号板就失控了。如果把它和王冕放在一起，那种名利观的对比一下子就鲜明了。再有严监生这样的，十分贪财，同王冕这样只要能孝顺母亲，自己够用就行的人进行对比，也是高下立判。所以，王冕在这里就是一个榜样的形象，他对《儒林外史》后面出来的人形成一个对比，这也是吴敬梓把它放在本书第一回的作用。
　　王冕还是一个十分孝顺的人。在一开始放牛时，他就经常把好东西包好，带回家给母亲吃。后来也多次提到他赡养母亲。在山东时，他看到难民，就想到了母亲，于是立即回家了。母亲临终前和他说的不去做官，他也严格遵守。这些都是符合孝道的要求的。从古至今，孝顺都是不可或缺的优秀品质，这里放在王冕身上，也是对其品格的一种补充，是
