天龙八部中慕容博为何要伏杀萧远山族人
天龙八部之中，一心想光复祖宗基业的慕容博以辽国大军入侵北宋的借口，欺骗玄慈方丈等武林豪杰，在雁门关外埋伏杀害了萧远山族人，由此引起了一段江湖恩怨情仇。不过，很多读者或许想不明白，萧远山虽然是契丹人，但是难道慕容博杀了萧远山族人就能挑起辽国和北宋的恩怨，促使两国交兵开战吗？其实，金庸先生在书中曾隐晦地讲出萧远山其实大有来头。
在真实的历史中，契丹是唐宋之际北方强大的游牧民族，根据《契丹国志》记载：契丹族本无姓氏，惟各以所居地名呼之。公元916年，辽太祖耶律阿保机在上京临潢府建国称帝，开始以族名契丹为国号（后称大辽）。为了区分契丹族内的高低贵贱，耶律阿保机亲自拟定契丹姓氏，规定皇族一律姓耶律，后族一律姓萧，而普通平民则不可以用姓氏。从此开始，契丹人的这种两姓制一直持续到辽国灭亡。
所以，从辽国的历史来看，当皇帝的都是耶律氏，当皇后的都是萧氏，这在历代王朝中非常。而金庸所描写的萧远山族人，从姓氏来看，是辽国皇后一族之人，位列辽国的贵族。金庸在天龙八部中也讲到萧远山官居大辽属珊军总教头，而历史上的属珊军在辽国则是御帐亲军，负责保卫皇帝和皇后的生命安全，战斗力非常强大。从此可见，萧远山不仅是辽国的皇亲国戚，而且颇得辽国皇帝和皇后的倚重，一时尊贵无比。
萧远山这样的背景出身，自然会引起慕容博的注意。在慕容博看来，如果成功欺骗唆使中原武林人士在雁门关外俘杀萧远山及其族人，辽国肯定震怒，而且绝不会善罢甘休，必定会大举入侵北宋一雪深仇大恨。宋辽两国开战之后，北宋自然不是辽国的对手，在这样的情况之下慕容博则可以趁机举大事，谋图光复祖宗之基业。不过，让慕容博没有想到的是，自己辛苦谋划俘杀萧远山族人之后，宋辽两国并没有开展，而是仍旧遵守着澶渊之盟的约定。
萧远山人物介绍
萧远山，金庸武侠小说《天龙八部》的主人公萧峰之父，曾师从汉人学武，武功极强，与萧峰、慕容博、鸠摩智一起被金庸小说读者誉为天龙四绝，是《天龙八部》中的绝顶高手之一，属契丹后族中人，大辽珊军总教头。其妻及族人在雁门关外惨遭中原武林人士中途狙杀，心灰意冷背妻抱儿跳崖轻生，中途扔出萧峰。在少林寺中一藏三十余年。暗中调查带头大哥，血腥复仇。是为大恶人。后经扫地僧点化，归隐少林寺。
