　　耿介之人。喜欢学问，淡泊名利，自由散淡。还很孝敬老母，对邻居也很好。
　　王冕是个怎样的人
　　王冕出生农家，因为家穷，他白天参加田间劳动，晚上到寺院长明灯下读书，孜孜不倦。
　　30岁时王冕参加过一次科举，但没有考中。为了增长见识，远游杭州、南京、太行、徐州，最后到了大都（北京）。元朝的礼部尚书泰不花很喜欢他的画，想推荐他进翰林院，被王冕拒绝了。40岁时，王冕在会稽九里山盖了三间草屋，载了几千树梅花，过起了清贫的生活。他的朋友想推荐他去做府吏，王冕说：我有田可耕，有书可读，岂肯送公文做人家的使唤？
　　王冕画的梅花孤傲倔强，尽显风骨，一次在一幅墨梅上他写道：凡桃俗李争芬芳，只有老梅心自常。

　　王冕（公元12871359年），元代著名画家、诗人。字元章，号煮石山农、饭牛翁、会稽外史、梅花屋主等。他出生在浙江诸暨一户贫苦农民家庭，自幼好学如痴。《明史》记载：王冕白天放牛，晚上到附近佛寺长明灯下读书。有一天，王冕把牛放到野地吃草，自己跑到私塾里去听老师讲课，天黑了，想起牛，结果牛不见了，回家被父亲责打一顿。他的好学精神感动了会稽一位叫韩性的读书人，韩性收王冕为徒，教他读书作画。王冕青年时代曾一度热衷于功名，但参加科举屡试不中，于是他焚毁文章，永绝仕途，浪迹江湖。他游杭州、逛金陵，然后渡长江，跨淮河，经徐州、济南到达大都，长途跋涉，使他的视野和胸襟大大开扩，使他对社会现实和统治阶级的认识更加深刻、清楚。由于王冕的诗画风格特异，不同凡响，名声鹊起，在大都期间，士大夫都争走馆下，向他求诗索画，一时缣素山积，而他经常援笔挥洒，倾刻而就。据记载，他不愿意为达官贵人服务，曾画一幅梅花悬挂在墙壁上，并题诗云：冰花个个圆如玉，羌笛吹它不下来。他经常讥讽元朝统治者，险些入狱。后来，他被迫隐姓埋名在家乡九里山蛰居，白天种粟锄豆，灌园养鱼，晚上读书作画，过着自食其力的清贫生活。他在居室周围种植了上千株梅树，数百棵桃树和杏树，自题为梅花屋。
　　画墨梅，始于北宋华光法师。据说他看到月光把梅花映照在窗纸上，从梅影中得到启示，创造出用浓淡相间的水墨晕染方法画梅花。华光法师之后，南宋另一位画梅高手杨补之创造出两种画梅方法：一种是以墨笔圈出梅的花瓣，即所谓圈花法；另一种是用墨涂于绢上，烘托出梅花的白葩。王冕继承了传统画梅的方法，又有所创造。在圈花方法上，杨补之一笔三顿挫，而王冕改为一笔两顿挫，即所谓钩圈略异杨家法。他画出的梅花如铁线圈成，虽不着颜色，却能生动地表现出千朵万蕊，含笑盈枝的姿态。另外，用胭脂画没骨梅花是王冕的独创，对后世影响很大。在绘枝干方法上，王冕注重质感的表现，用笔流畅顿挫适宜，潇洒遒劲。他在画新枝时，一笔拉几尺长，引枝断而复连，停而不滞，一气呵成，梢头露出笔的尖锋，显得灵气飞动，生机勃勃；画老干时，笔锋顿挫，能将老干的苍劲表现得淋漓尽致。清朝何瑗王作诗称赞说：山农笔力劲如铁，中有窈窕姿倾城。清标信有烟霞骨，补之而后存典型。
　　文人画注重抒发个人情感、追求笔墨趣味、崇尚水墨写意，技法精益求精。王冕画梅花，只画野梅，不绘官梅。山野梅花枝干挺拔劲直，不似官梅经人工造作，枝干盘曲媚俗。这自然跟王冕自己的身世、经历分不开。画梅须具梅骨气，人与梅花一样清。王冕笔下的梅花就是他个人精神世界的体现。王冕的《墨梅图》传世不只一幅。课本选用的这幅《墨梅图》画的是横出一枝梅花，枝干挺秀，穿插有致；枝干与花蕊的布局，主次分明，疏密得当，层次清晰；花用淡墨点染，花瓣和花蕊用浓墨勾点，显得格外清新秀丽。画上题诗：吾家洗砚池头树，个个花开淡墨痕；不要人夸好颜色，只流清气满乾坤。诗画相配，表露出画家淡泊名利，不愿与统治者同流合污的高尚情操。
