儒林外史杜慎卿是怎样的人主要事迹有哪些

　　儒林外史杜慎卿的人物形象
　　季恬逸、诸葛天申、萧金铉三人到寺院闲游，他们遇到了杜慎卿。这杜慎卿，人称有子建之才，潘安之貌，是江南数一数二的才子。子建指的是三国时期魏国的曹植，南朝谢灵运有天下才有一石，曹子建独占八斗来评价曹植的才华。潘安指的是西晋文学家潘岳，潘岳是我国历史上有名的美男子。看来，杜慎卿是位才华出众的美男子了。难怪，季恬逸等三人初见杜慎卿，飘然有神仙之概。
　　杜慎卿才貌出众。他的言谈举止与生活习惯，也是与众不同的。萧金铉自我感觉诗才不错，就忽然翻出一首诗来，请杜慎卿点评。杜慎卿真不含糊，他指出萧金铉的诗句是抄袭《贺新凉》（《贺新郎》）的，令萧金铉很难堪。
　　与季恬逸贪吃肉食不同，杜慎卿有极大的酒量，不甚吃菜，饭量不大，只吃了一片香糕和一碗茶，不爱大荤腥食物。看得出，杜慎卿是位素食主义者，他吃不得荤腥的。一次，杜慎卿勉强吃了一块板鸭，就呕吐起来。品茶和吃素，有利于口腔洁净。如此，可以使得头脑保持清醒，不至于被肉腥味搅混沌了。
　　在杜慎卿的寺院寓所的一次赏牡丹品茗茶派对中，喝道月上时分，季恬逸等三人不禁手舞足蹈起来，杜慎卿颓然醉了。这四个人都喝醉了。寺院的老和尚，拿出一串祁门小炮樟，点燃，发出硝黄的烟气，为他们醒酒。用硝黄熏，是古人的醒酒偏方。
　　杜慎卿纳妾时说了句我太祖高皇帝（指朱元璋）云：‘我若不是妇人生，天下妇人都杀尽。’妇人那有一个好的？，这杜慎卿挺鄙视妇女的。在夫权社会，像杜慎卿此类人，他们把妇女看做奴仆与邪恶根源。虽杜慎卿才貌双全，他的内心偏薄的。
　　季苇萧给杜慎卿一个封好的盒子，嘱咐杜慎卿到了神乐观方可打开。那样，杜慎卿可以见到神奇的一幕。在神乐观，杜慎卿打开盒子，知晓会遇到一位新来道友来霞士。果然，在道观内，一位胖胖的五十多岁，其貌不扬的道士，便是来霞士。来霞士相貌不雅，使得杜慎卿不禁掩口而笑。当来霞士拿出诗稿向杜慎卿请教时，杜慎卿发觉自己上了季苇萧的当了。所谓神奇一幕，不过是把他诓骗来，为老粉丝来霞士提供一次面对面请教的机会。这季苇萧也挺会作弄人的，他的才学不如杜慎卿，就想着法子戏弄人家。按当时社会低俗风气，兴许，季苇萧在骗了杜慎卿的同时，他还收了道士来霞士的礼金那。
　　五月初三，南京的两个戏班子到莫愁湖唱戏，迎端午节。杜慎卿同季苇萧，二人手里暗藏纸笔的，对戏子们的表演做着记录。第二天，在水西门口挂出一张榜来，评出了戏唱的好的第一至三名戏子。杜慎卿还拿出二两金子，给第一名郑魁官打制了一个金杯，杯上刻有艳夺樱桃，其他（她）戏子有奖品、赏银的。这类评比，和现在的超级女声、中国好声音、梨园春等节目很相似。挺有趣，看不出来，吴敬梓生活的年代也有大奖赛之类的节目。在玩儿的方面，古人的头脑一点儿也不落后。
　　鲍廷玺见到杜慎卿花了大笔银子，给戏子们捧场，他认为杜慎卿是位慷慨之士，就盘算着借几百两银子自己团个戏班子过日子。那知这杜慎卿答应的很爽快，推脱的也很干净。杜慎卿先是说借银子没问题，然后说自己的银子是用来科举备用的，推掉了。这杜慎卿实则在说谎话，他既然为了科举，那么又何必花大笔银子为戏子们发奖杯奖金的。不愿意借钱，杜慎卿直接拒绝也就罢了。
　　杜慎卿真的是很虚伪，他不借给鲍廷玺银子，反而推荐鲍廷玺到赣州府去投奔自己的堂弟弟杜少卿。当鲍廷玺说出要开个书子，即介绍信的，杜慎卿也圆滑的拒绝了。当看到对方的请求难以拒绝了，杜慎卿又推荐鲍廷玺到赣州府找管家王胡子。后来，鲍廷玺找王胡子，他从杜慎卿借了几两银子，看来是作为路费用的。说到头，杜慎卿没有真正帮助鲍廷玺，一番漂亮话，满足跑火车，鲍廷玺找王胡子，也只是借着杜慎卿的名义。至于王胡子是否收留和帮助鲍廷玺，也就不好说了。
　　有子建之才，潘安之貌的杜慎卿，不过是个沽名钓誉的伪君子，他的才能和喜好，全都用到饮酒赏景看戏上了。季恬逸知道杜慎卿很有钱，他仅仅在杜慎卿那里混个吃喝，没有打其他注意。因为骗子季恬逸知道，杜慎卿是个伪君子。伪君子图的是虚名，真正实际的行为没有的。鲍廷玺没有看出来杜慎卿的为人，他还异想天开的借钱，结果落了一场空。
