王重阳的武功及成名绝技

　　他独入深山，结了一间茅芦，一连三年足不出山，精研这玉女心经的破法，虽然小处也有成就，但始终组不成一套包蕴内外、融会贯串的武学。心灰之下，对林朝英的聪明才智更是佩服，甘拜下风，不再钻研。
　　后来九阴真经出现在江湖中，引起各路武林人士争夺。王重阳、黄药师、欧阳锋、段智兴、洪七公决定在华山论剑，谁夺得天下第一则归谁。王重阳武功天下第一，真经终于归他，其余四位高手心悦诚服，原无话说。
　　王重阳因此夺得武学奇书九阴真经。他决意不练经中功夫，但为好奇心所驱使，禁不住翻阅一遍。
　　他武功当时已是天下第一，九阴真经中所载的诸般秘奥精义，一经过目，思索上十余日，即已全盘豁然领悟，当下仰天长笑，回到活死人墓，在全墓最隐秘的地下石室顶上刻下九阴真经的要旨，并一一指出破除玉女心经之法。他看了古墓的情景，料想那几具空棺将来是林朝英的弟子所用。她们多半是临终时自行入棺等死，其时自当能得知全真派祖师一生不输于人。于是在那具本来留作己用的空棺盖底写下了十六字，好教林朝英后人于临终之际，得知全真教创教祖师的武学，实非玉女心经所能克制。这只是他一念好胜，却非有意要将九阴真经泄漏于世，料想待得林朝英的弟子见到九阴真经之时，也已奄奄一息，只能将这秘密带入地下了。
　　王重阳旧疾复发，为了在身死之后留下一个克制西毒欧阳锋之人。决定带师弟周伯通到大理来拜访段智兴，只因东邪、西毒、南帝、北丐、中神通五人向来齐名当世，若说前来传授功夫，未免对段智兴不敬，是以先求段智兴传他一阳指，再以先天功作为交换。
　　后来王重阳假装病死，引来欧阳锋前来抢夺九阴真经，王重阳突然从棺材跃出，以一阳指破掉了欧阳锋的蛤蟆功，使得欧阳锋退回西域。王重阳也在此之后逝去。

　　一阳指是第一次华山论剑之后王重阳到大理向段智兴学的，同时他们一起研究出了把先天功的内力融合到一阳指中的方法，可以用来修复或切断他人的经脉。他们最初的目的是为了克制欧阳峰的蛤蟆功。
　　最后，王重阳在临死前用融合了先天功的新版一阳指废了欧阳峰的蛤蟆功；出家后的段智兴也用新版一阳指救了被铁砂掌打伤的黄蓉。
　　由此可见，新版一阳指确实是有效的。
　　但是新版一阳指的诞生并不代表一阳指是王重阳的绝技啊！！！

　　王重阳出身于一个家业丰厚的富裕家庭。他的一生正值北宋沦亡，金人入侵，民族灾难深重的时代。青年时代，他痛祖国之沦亡，悯民族之不振，曾于金熙宗天春年间应过文、武试，得中文、武双举人，有志于拯救民族危难。但由于南宋政权孱弱，舍弃广大北方人民不顾，苟且偏安，王重阳的抱负没有能够施展。抗金失败后，王重阳掘地穴居，称之活死人墓，以方牌挂其上，书云：王害疯（王自称疯子）灵位。七年后，王重阳走出活死人墓，开始以另一种方式实现自己的理想。
　　王重阳文才还是不错的，留下了许多着作。他使道教从哲理上开创了一个新局面。王重阳融道、佛王重阳墓、儒思想于一炉，声称儒门释户道相通，三教从来一祖风。主张三教平等、三教合一，并以《道德经》《般若心经》《孝经》为全真道徒必修经典。王重阳不尚符箓，不事黄白，不信白日飞升，以修炼内丹为成仙证道的手段。其修炼法下手功夫重在清静二字，为此强烈主张修道者必须出家，除情去欲，忍耻含垢，苦行苦修。
　　王重阳的修行方式客观上很适合女真和蒙古统治者的需要。女真和蒙古统治者入主中原，最伤脑筋的就是没有好办法化解民族矛盾，而王重阳的清修主张正好消磨汉人反抗异族统治的斗志，有利于缓解民族矛盾和巩固异族君主的统治地位，所以王重阳创立的全真派在金元两个外族统治时代得到迅猛发展，并得到了官方的全力支持，王重阳也从而被元朝皇帝先后册封为重阳全真开化真君和重阳全真开化辅极帝君。全真教的活动中心也固定到首都燕京，建立了太极观（后改名长春宫），并成为全真派的最高殿堂。
